The fifteenth annual AIDS Walk Tulsa is Saturday, October 6. The purpose of this event is to join cities across the nation in October to promote awareness and prevention of HIV/AIDS. This year’s event was especially important, because all proceeds will go to support the local cost of a six-member National AIDS Fund AmeriCorps Team serving Tulsa HIV/AIDS prevention and care organizations and their clients. The goal this year to keep the AmeriCorps team in Tulsa is $20,000.
The Tulsa AIDS Walk is a project of the Community Service Council and donations are tax deductible. All funds raised at the Walk will go to support direct HIV/AIDS services in Tulsa and will receive matching funds from a National AIDS Fund challenge grant
